Bio International produces sterile filtered fetal bovine serum sourced exclusively from New Zealand. Our serum is used as a media supplement by manufacturers of a range of biological and diagnostic products. New Zealand serum is the safest in the world, from the perspective of both animal health status and traceability.
Bio International's fetal blood is supplied from three meat export facilities which are EU and USDA approved. Our blood is collected, and the serum manufactured, by means of processes which have been audited by international customers. Our superior level of traceability allows us to track the fetal bovine serum in any individual batch back to the individual farms of origin. This information, in coded format, can be provided on request to serum customers. All individual lots of raw serum are evaluated and tested before being released for filtration.
The terminal sterile filtration process is performed under contract in New Zealand. A standard triple 0.1 micron protocol is utilised, and details of the filtration process are available for audit by any of Bio International's customers.
Bio International produces New Zealand sourced serum of the highest standard available internationally, with a higher level of traceability than any equivalent serum product, even serum that is sourced from New Zealand.
